Long after we have forgotten the colour of its walls or the arrangement of its rooms, we remember the conversations that unfolded around its table, the laughter that lingered beneath its roof, the unexpected friendships that quietly became part of our lives, and the comforting certainty that somewhere in the world there existed a place where our presence was neither questioned nor hurried.
La Maison ASUTA has always aspired to become such a place.
Its walls are not built of stone alone, but of conversations patiently resumed, books read together across continents, families welcomed without pretence, questions explored with sincerity, shared meals, quiet prayers, joyful discoveries, thoughtful disagreements, and the countless acts of generosity through which strangers slowly become companions.
Many people first arrive carrying a question they cannot yet fully express. Others come searching for knowledge, for healing, for beauty, or simply for a quieter rhythm than the one offered by the world around them. What begins as a single encounter often grows, almost without notice, into something much richer. Familiar names begin appearing each week. Conversations continue where they had gently paused. A recommendation becomes a friendship. A gathering becomes a tradition. The House gradually becomes part of the landscape of one’s life.
In time, many discover that they are no longer simply visitors.
They have become Residents.
Residency has little to do with geography. Our House extends far beyond the place in which it stands, reaching cities, villages, mountains, coastlines, and countries where people gather around shared values of curiosity, compassion, thoughtful learning, hospitality, creativity, faith, and the quiet desire to become more fully themselves while helping others do the same.
Every Resident contributes something unique to the life of the House. Some arrive with decades of professional experience, others with youthful enthusiasm and generous questions. Some teach, others listen. Some create, others encourage. Every story enriches the conversations that follow.
Friday by the Fireplace
Every home possesses a place where people naturally gather.
For us, it is the Fireplace.
Each Friday, as the week gently draws to a close, Residents are invited to spend half an hour together in a conversation that asks nothing more than presence and curiosity. Sometimes we explore recent discoveries in neuroscience or education. Sometimes we reflect upon family life, creativity, leadership, wellbeing, literature, or the enduring wisdom found within Scripture. On other occasions, the conversation begins with a simple question offered by one of the Residents themselves and unfolds in directions that no programme could ever have anticipated.
The intention has never been to deliver another online lecture. Rather, these gatherings create a rhythm of returning, allowing friendships to grow naturally through familiar voices and shared reflections. Many people discover that this half hour quietly becomes one of the calmest moments of their week, a small pause before the weekend begins, where ideas mature gently and encouragement is received almost without seeking it.
Participation in Friday by the Fireplace is offered freely to every Resident of the House, because hospitality has always begun by making room at the table.

The Rooms of the House
Just as every home contains rooms devoted to different rhythms of life, Residency within La Maison ASUTA gradually unfolds through spaces that invite deeper participation according to the season each person is living.
No one is expected to enter every room at once.
Each door remains open, waiting patiently until the moment feels right.
The Fireplace
The Fireplace is the welcoming heart of the House, the place where every journey may begin.
Residents who choose this room receive invitations to our Friday gatherings, seasonal letters from the House, reflections, reading recommendations, public events, selected resources, and opportunities to remain gently connected with the evolving life of the community. Many people remain happily by the Fireplace for years, discovering that a simple rhythm of thoughtful conversations and shared reflections becomes a faithful companion through changing seasons of life.

The Library
Beyond the warmth of the Fireplace lies the Library, where curiosity is given time to mature.
Here, Residents are invited into a richer rhythm of study through masterclasses, reading circles, guided reflections, private conversations, digital resources, and carefully curated materials that continue nourishing learning long after each gathering has ended. It is also here that many begin their journey with NAERIS, discovering a personal space where learning, reflection, coaching, and daily life gradually become woven together.
The Library welcomes those who delight in asking deeper questions and who understand that wisdom often grows quietly through faithful attention rather than hurried accumulation.

The Atelier
Every House needs a place where ideas become tangible.
The Atelier is dedicated to Residents who feel called not only to learn, but also to create, contribute, mentor, imagine, and help shape the future of La Maison ASUTA itself. Writers, educators, coaches, artists, practitioners, entrepreneurs, ministry leaders, and lifelong learners gather here to develop projects, participate in intimate conversations, explore emerging ideas, and collaborate in the ongoing life of the House.
Many of tomorrow’s books, courses, retreats, conferences, humanitarian initiatives, and creative collections will first take shape within these conversations.
The Atelier exists because wisdom naturally longs to become generous.

NAERIS
A companion for the days between our conversations.
Life is transformed less by extraordinary moments than by the quiet faithfulness of ordinary days.
Growth often appears while preparing breakfast, walking through the countryside, waiting for a train, reading before sleep, or returning to a reflection first encountered weeks earlier. The most meaningful work frequently unfolds beyond the walls of classrooms and long after a coaching conversation has ended.
NAERIS was imagined as a gentle companion for these unseen moments.
Residents gradually receive access to a personal space where reflections, journals, guided exercises, learning pathways, resources, personal milestones, and future journeys may be gathered with thoughtful simplicity. Rather than demanding attention, NAERIS accompanies it, offering continuity between the many rooms of the House while respecting each person’s unique rhythm of growth.
As new pathways open, Residents will receive their personal invitation and discover new rooms prepared especially for the journeys they are already living.

The Seasons of the House
Every season brings with it a different invitation.
Throughout the year, the House opens its doors for conferences where science and humanity meet in conversation, retreats that restore the spaciousness often lost within modern life, reading circles where books become shared companions rather than solitary experiences, creative workshops where ideas gradually find their form, family gatherings filled with laughter and learning, and evenings around the Fireplace where familiar faces quietly become lifelong friends.
Some events unfold online.
Others invite Residents to travel.
A few are intentionally intimate, welcoming only a handful of participants.
All are created with the same hope: that every person who enters may leave carrying a little more peace, a little more clarity, and perhaps the quiet joy of knowing that somewhere in the world there is a House to which they may always return.

There Is Always Another Chair at the Table
Belonging rarely announces itself with great ceremony.
It often begins through remarkably ordinary moments: recognising a familiar name during a Friday conversation, opening a letter from the House on a quiet morning, smiling at a sentence that feels unexpectedly personal, sharing a book recommendation with someone living thousands of kilometres away, or returning often enough that the place itself begins to feel quietly familiar.
Every House carries its own atmosphere.
Its true architecture is never measured only by its walls, but by the generosity with which it welcomes those who cross its threshold.
Should your own journey lead you here, whether for a single conversation or for many years, may you always find what every traveller secretly hopes to discover somewhere along the road: a place where wisdom is shared generously, beauty is cultivated with care, friendship grows naturally, and another chair has already been prepared at the table.
